According to the Government of Saskatchewan website, warm and dry weather has allowed many farmers in Sask back out in the field. Harvest is wrapping up in many areas with 91% of crops now harvested and in the bin. Fingers crossed that no more rain falls until we're at 100%. You can read the Crop report from October 6 here.
Alberta is a bit further behind with 72% of the crop in while cooler and wetter weather continues to cause delays. The good news is that yields are higher than anticipated with the poor spring weather. Get detailed crop reports here.
Manitoba is flying through their season with 95% of the crop harvested according to their crop report. Quality and yield are average or just below so it might be a tight season for some Manitoba farmers. Recent crop reports can be found here.
Good luck with the rest of the season and we look forward to hearing from you as your harvest wraps up!
